Feeding The Poor - Khodiyar Mataji Mandir:
On 4th September 2016, it was decided to give food to over 200 poverty-stricken children from nearby villages of Porbandar (Gujarat, India), at a temple called 'Khodiyar Mataji Mandir' in Ranakandorna...
Khodiyar Maa comes as a Goddess of immediate deliverance. The extent of Khodiyar Maa's benevolence is beyond the imagination of humans. Her right hand's palm is exposed for blessing; symbolising Her generosity. The relationship to her devotees can only be compared to that of a mother caring for her children.
Khodiyar Maa rules over mind and heart. She rules over day and night. She rules over land and water. She chose a crocodile as her vehicle, as it is an amphibian animal. She comes down heavily on evil.
The Khodiya Mataji Mandir (temple) was organised and funded by Mathuradas Thakrar (my grandfather). It was built in 1983. The temple's residents feed children in need on a regular basis...
"Jai Khodiyar Maa Ki Jai!" (May Mother Khodiyar Be Victorious!)
This film is released to inspire others to serve the poor, sick, needy and neglected members of our societies.
"You have no reason to feel proud when you are able to help another, for your skill or wealth or strength or courage or official position that gave you the chance to serve was the gift of God, whether you recognise it or not. You are only offering this God's gift to another God's gift, namely the poor, the illiterate, the weak, the diseased, the grieving, the broken-hearted, who seek your help."
- Sathya Sai Baba
